Well, here we are again after the holidays and the spring weather is close! You all know that means we are back out on the road very soon.
Justin (Elwood) continues his deathgrip on the marketing world of Blues Brothers and has the schedule for 2009 looking strong already this early in the year. Multiple states and really great venues are already on the books and we look forward to meeting all of you.
New ventures this year include the booking agency Justin has launched with only the best acts being singled out to be pitched to new clients as well as some of our past venues who know The Brothers will provide only quality shows as referals. We want everyone to know about two distict performances coming up and please lend your support to.
The first is April 18th at the Crockett theatre in Lawrenceburg TN. This is a show produced by J. Crisler Productions and even though we are not performing, we are making sure it will be a show to not forget! BREAKING NEWS!!!!: THE ALABAMA BLUES BROTHERS SHOWBAND WILL MAKE THEIR ONLY PUBLIC APPEARANCE IN NORTH ALABAMA THIS YEAR AT THE SHOALS THEATRE IN FLORENCE ALABAMA ON JULY 25TH. "Sunglasses, Suits, and Togas" This is the last Saturday night of Handyfest in the Shoals.
Now for a history lesson: The Brothers have been playing for 11 years and even though they have performed around the world, HAVE NEVER BEEN FORMALLY BOOKED, to play the WC Handyfest. SO, this year the Brothers rented the entire 700 seat Shoals Theatre the same night as Handy fest has other performances scheduled. This is not a competition with Handyfest, but an effort by The Alabama Blues Brothers to offer a quality full horn filled showband with not just a band to look at, but a total SHOW that includes comedy, crowd interaction, and fun that will no be seen anywhere else in the Shoals that night!
